Pixar goes on a dinosaur-hunting field tripSeen Up yet? I'm told there's an Elasmotherium fossil in the old man's house...I still haven't seen the movie yet. Someone at Pixar accidentally leaked a few works of concept art with dinosaurs, but it didn't really fit the story for Up. The Pixar team is known for doing extensive research before animating their models in their full-feature films. For example, when they did Finding Nemo with Disney, they spent a lot of time studying whales, reefs, and fish. Rumor has it the team has been visiting natural history museums and digging for fossils lately. Put two and two together and you can probably guess why they're going to the museums and digging around... Pixar won't tell what the significance is, only that it isn't for Toy Story.
